This is the opening song to Hana Yori Dango starring Inoue Mao and Matsumoto Jun, Co-Starring Oguri Shun, Matsuda Shota and Abe Tsuyoshi.
Makino Tsukushi is a girl out of her element. She's the "tough weed" or poor girl going to an elite rich kid high school. All she wants to do is go through her high school life without being noticed by the rich kids. Unlike the rich students, Makino had to earn her way into the school. Her parents and little brother cut costs around the house just to insure that her school tuition is paid.
While sitting at lunch with Sakurako, the only person she's befriended at the rich school, Sakurako has a run in with F4 (the Elite of the Elite). Makino stands up to F4 to protect her friend and the heat is redirected from Sakurako to Makino. Makino is bullied by the entire student body except for F4 member Hanazawa Rui, whom Makino has a crush on. He doesn't entirely protect her from F4 leader Domyouji Tsukasa but insures that Domyouji doesn't go too far.
It's an on going battle between Domyouji and Makino. One day while Domyouji is tormenting Makino in front of the school, she decides that she's had enough and fights back. Punching Domyouji she declares war on F4. Her defiance against leader Domyouji only causes more problems when Domyouji ends up falling for her.
Being such a tough guy, Domyouji doesn't know how to handle the laws of love. While trying to win Makino's feelings he tends to just pick fights with her causing more problems.
This is a great story. The underdog fighting back. The bully falling in love with the underdog because she isn't afraid to fight for what is right.
