Kimi wa Petto starring Matsumoto Jun and Koyuki.

Iwaya Sumire is a very successful woman. Since she is so successful in her career, she is very intimidating to men. It's hard for her to submit and therefore her love life and social life have suffered.
That slowly starts to change the day she meets Goda Takeshi. Sumire finds Takeshi in a cardboard box outside her apartment complex in the pooring rain. Takeshi is bruised and bloody. He seems to have been knock out from exhaustion. Taking pitty on him, Sumie decides to bring him how with her and nurse Takeshi back to health. She bandages him and feeds him. The next day, she leaves a note for him and goes to work. Expecting him to be gone when she gets home from work, she is shocked to find that Takeshi is watching television. Takeshi begs and convinces that Sumie should keep him around. After much arguing that she should just through Takeshi out, she finally agrees to keep him around but only as a pet. She gives him the name Momo, which belonged to her beloved golden retriever when she was a little girl.
I enjoyed this show very much. The way Sumie finally lets her guard done and lets Momo into her life instead of just relying on herself all the time. You can see who she cares for him even though she's always pushing him away. It's a good feeling when she finally owns up to what she feels inside for Momo, despite everything else that's going on in her life.
Here's a small fan made video with clips from Kimi wa Petto.
The song is Darling by V6. It is also the show's theme song.
