I understand that I've already blogged about this but I look back on it and see that it was a somewhat poorly written blog. Besides, at that time there were only 4 episodes out and the fansub weren't producing more hardsubs for the drama. They finally released the remaining episodes which is why I'm blogging about this show again.
Atashinchi no Danshi starring Horikita Maki, Kaname Jun, Okada Yoshinori, Mukai Osamu, Yamamoto Yusuke, Seto Koji, Okayama Tomoki. Co-starring Kusakari Masao, Yamamoto Koji, Takashima Reiko.
As we know from my previous post on this drama, this story is about a Mineta Chisato, who's father ran up a 100 million yen debt in her name. She is pursued by loan sharks/debt collectors all the time. In order to hide from these debt collectors she becomes homeless and lives in a cardboard box house in the middle of what appears to be a homeless park.
One day, while being chased after by debt collectors, Chisato is rescued by Okura Shinzo, a rich older man. He tells Chisato that he will pay off the debt collectors if she will marry him, claiming that he only has one month to live and just wants a companion to by his side for the remainder of his time left. Chisato agrees and marries Shinzo. One month later... Shinzo does pass away.
In his final Will, Shinzo sets up the "Mother's Goals", in order for her 100 million yen debt to be paid in full she must complete several "Mother's Goals" with the 6 adopted sons of Okura Shinzo and they must accept her as their "mother". Little does Chisato know, these sons are more than a handful. They do whatever they can to make completing the "Mother's Goals" impossible.
I enjoyed this drama from beginning to end. I was very excited to see that the fansubbers finally finished subbing the drama. This drama holds a very important message about family and that sometimes you don't have to look very far for it. Sometimes it's already staring you in the face, you just don't realize it until it's being threaten by outside forces. There's more to just family than blood.
Here's a fan made video with clips from Atashinchi no Danshi. The song is called Infinity by Weatherleaf. It's the ending song in the drama but the drama version is preformed by Girl Next Door. Enjoy.

So fun!! Though, I think Maki-san is a little dull in dramas :))
I actually enjoy watching her. She favors my best friend as far as looks go. I do see that she does kinda tend to portray the same type of character just put in different situations. It would be nice to see her do something out of the ordinary for her. Other than that, I enjoy watching Maki-chan. She's so adorable.
Thanks for your opinions Darker Blue! Always a joy to hear from you. :)
