Otomen

Otomen starring Okada Masaki, Kaho, Kimura Ryo, Seto Koji and Sano Kazuma. 

Otomen is a Japanese boy who excels in both military and literary art while hiding his girlie hobbies such as cooking and sewing, his girlie way of thinking and his love of shojo manga. 

 Masamune Asuka never used to shy away from showing off his girlie side. One day his father claims that being able to watch his son live freely and be the person he's most comfortable with makes him want to live the same way. He announces to his family that he wants to be a woman. He leaves the family to fulfill his wishes. 

The shock from her husband's announcement causes Asuka's mother to collapse and get brought to the hospital. In between her fainting spells she has Asuka promise that he will be a manly man and not follow in his father's foot steps. 

One day, Asuka meets Miyakozuka Ryo and is automatically smitten with her. While Asuka is girlie in so many ways, Ryo is tomboyish in many ways. You could say that they compliment each other. Will his feelings for her threaten to bring his secret to the surface?

This drama is about being true to yourself. If you are a certain way, then you shouldn't have to hide who you are on the inside. When living a double life... eventually the barrier between the lives will grow thin and the truth will come out.
