Yellow Gold Tour - Akanashi Jin

Photobucket

Akanashi Jin, member of JPop group KAT-TUN, set out as a solo artist this year, leaving his KAT-TUN members to carry on without him. This does not in anyway mean that Akanashi will permanently quit KAT-TUN. He just wishes to fulfill his dream of becoming a solo artist.

Akanashi's tour kicked off earlier this month at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. Several dates are scheduled for major cities in the United States. If you will be in the following cities (or in the area) and you're a fan, you should go check it out. Tour Dates and Ticketmaster

As some of you KAT-TUN fans may remember, before Cartoon KAT-TUN premiered, Akanashi took off for half a year to study English in LA, California. His solo career will be him singing English. Now as to if his entire solo career will be English base, I couldn't honestly tell you.

I would say that Akanashi's style is a mix of different genres. A little hip-hop and dance with a bit of techno beat thrown it. It's a bit different then the hip-hop/poppy sounds of KAT-TUN but it's easy to get into. From the songs I've heard, they are very catchy and had me wanting to get up and shake it on the dance floor, if with me being a terrible dancer.

If any lucky fans gets a chance to watch him perform, in English, let me know how it goes.
