Akiyama Kanon lost her parents in a arson. Being the number one suspect her brother, Akiyama Yoji is taken to prison. Kanon doesn't believe her brother is guilty and continues to fight for his release.

Kanon is fired from her job one day when they find out that her brother is in prison due to the arson. Sadden by the fact that once people find out about her brother they treat her differently, Kanon decides to change her appearance and name and move to a city where no one knows her.

Kanon starts working for a house cleaning service and has a run in with Nagasaki Junya. Junya catches Kanon trying to steal a picture of him smiling. When she is confronted, Kanon explains that she likes pictures of happy people. Junya agrees to take a picture with her as he cannot give up the picture she tried to steal. This encounter is the beginning of her crush for Junya.

Toono Kiyoka is Junya's fiance that Kanon shockingly finds out about when she goes to visit Junya one day. Heartbroken, Kanon tries to stay away from Junya, but there is a secret about Kiyoka that Kanon doesn't know.

Segawa Subaru is Junya and Kiyoka's best friend from their college days. He knows a big secret about Kiyoka that he is afraid to reveal as it will break Junya's heart. That's not all Subaru is hiding from Junya.

I enjoyed this drama very much. It is another favorite. It has so many twists and turns. Just when you think you figured something out, another twist gets thrown in. I could watch the drama over and over again. I cry every time I see the sad parts and smile when I see the happy parts.
