Linda Linda Linda starring Kashii Yu, Maeda Aki, Sekine Shiori, Bae Doona, Kobayashi Katsuya, Takayo Mimura, Matsuyama Kenichi.
The school festivial as fastly approaching but with their bandmembers bickering over an incident and another member with a hand injury, will their band be able to go on?
The guitarist's hand is injuried and the keyboardist and the vocalist are bickering. What will happen to the band? The only thing that can happen. The keyboardist, Kei, steps up to play guitar. The vocalist, Rinko, however, still wants to play the same songs they were planning on playing before the original guitarist, Moe, got her injury. Kei disagrees. She believes that they must play cover songs or nothing because it wouldn't be fair to the injured Moe to play songs they all composed together. On a whim, Kei decides to ask the Korean exchange student, Son (who has very understanding of Japanese), to be their vocalists. Not understanding fully what the band was asking of her, she agrees.
It's a race against time to prepare Son for the festivial and teach her the song lyrics in Japanese.
The movies starts off pretty slowly. A few times, I didn't think I would be able to sit through the whole movie but then the music came. The music alone was enough to grab my attention and keep me watching 'til the end. Also, I'll admit that I'm a fan of Matsuyama Kenichi so that was another reason I stayed to watch.
Here's a trailer for Linda Linda Linda.
