It's been six months since that accident. Six months since Kamiya Asuka lived and her two best friends died. Ever since the day of the bus wrecked, Asuka has been able to see ghosts.
The type of personality that Asuka has prevents her from refusing requests from those that need her help. Everytime she comes across ghost who is in need of her help, she can't help but to agree to do whatever is needed. Even if that means being late to class.
One day, Asuka meets mysterious Hayami Kaito, who can also see ghosts. Kaito's outlook is different from Asuka's though. He doesn't think she should be helping the ghosts with their "unfinished business". But Asuka thinks differently and is happy that she can see the ghosts and be able to help them. After all, "humans and ghosts are the same".
Will Asuka learn the truth about Kaito? Can she help him have a change of heart towards ghosts?
I absolutely, 100% loved this drama. It surpassed my expectations of it. This one is definetly getting filed under my favorites. I enjoyed the store, the twists and turns. The way everything played out. The only small disappointment would be the very end but even then I'm not majorly upset about it. I laughed. I cried. I fell in love with the characters of Asuka and Kaito. A great tie in to this drama is the theme song by Yuzu. It brings everything together and just has me tearing up everytime I hear it. I really hope you give Ghost Friends a watch and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Here is a fanmade video for Ghost Friends. The song is Aitai by Yuzu. It is the dramas theme song.
